If you've been following along over the past year, you'll remember that shortly before Christmas last year, we unexpectedly had to throw our belongings into storage and leave our home to escape a dangerous and problematic situation. We drove 700 miles (1200km) to stay at a disused vacation apartment owned by the sibling of a friend of a friend of a friend, and that's where we've been for the last 9 months.

During that time, what had been our entire livelihood (our workshop and store) has been stuck in that storage unit 700 miles away.
|
However, after scrimping and saving, working odd jobs as we can find them, we've finally managed to secure a permanent apartment, and what's more, we've been embraced by the community in this tiny town and offered the use of a storefront by an elderly couple who are looking to retire.
|
It has been a long hard few years, but we are finally finding our feet again. We only have one last hurdle to overcome, and that's to get everything out of storage and down to the new store.
|
Moving an entire workshop and store is no small thing, but we've already found a crew with a big enough truck and they're willing to help us with the move, basically at cost. Unfortunately, that cost is still not a small number.
|
And so, we are running one final fundraiser to help us meet the costs to bring our machines, supplies, tools, and inventory down to our new workspace, so that we can finally reopen our discbound workshop, reopen our store, and reopen our community gaming and education space!
|
We are raising funds through every channel we can, including through our local community and pursuing small business grants and the like, but we are paying large storage fees every month, so the sooner we can get our workshop moved, not only can we get back to work, but we can stop paying these insane fees. Also, if you are one of the few customers who has an order that's been affected by all of this, the sooner we are able to raise the funds needed to bring everything down, the sooner we will be able to finish your order and send it on its way.
